L'amore e la guerra is an Italian drama set during World War I, following two people whose lives collide in the trenches of Carpio. Mario, a humble miner turned infantry sergeant, meets Albertina, a duchess serving as a nurse for her country. A passionate romance blooms between them amid the horrors of war, but their love faces a formidable obstacle: Captain Avogardo, who also wishes to marry Albertina.
