La sonrisa del diablo is a Mexican telenovela that aired on Canal de las Estrellas in 1992. The series follows Déborah San Román, a beautiful and ruthless woman determined to claw her way to wealth and power at any cost. She marries a wealthy widower while secretly carrying on with her unscrupulous lover, weaving an intricate web of manipulation and betrayal around everyone in her orbit. As her schemes deepen and her crimes mount, the forces of love, honesty, and justice close in on her ambitions. This second adaptation of the 1970 telenovela of the same name was produced by Ernesto Alonso for Televisa and adapted by Fernanda Villeli and Marcia Yance, delivering the classic melodrama and moral reckoning the genre demands.
