Manhattan, AZ(2000)

Manhattan, AZ is an offbeat comedy series that aired on USA Network in summer 2000. After his wife dies in a freak accident, LA vice cop Daniel Henderson relocates to the remote desert town of Manhattan, Arizona, to serve as sheriff and raise his teenage son alone. Henderson quickly discovers the town's mayor, Jake Manhattan, has misrepresented both the job and the community itself. Struggling to adapt to the quirky customs and lawless frontier mentality of this tiny, unmapped settlement, Henderson navigates culture shock and unconventional challenges far removed from his urban police background. The series was considered ahead of its time despite its brief run.
