Śmieciarz(1988)

Śmieciarz is a Polish historical drama set in Nazi-occupied Warsaw. Tojo, a garbage collector, exploits his essential work permit to move freely through the city's streets and even access the Jewish ghetto—a rare privilege under Nazi rule. His mundane occupation becomes the perfect cover for his real mission: underground resistance work with the Home Army. As Tojo navigates the dangerous landscape of occupation, he builds a network of contacts and allies, using his access and invisibility to aid the resistance effort. The film explores how ordinary people found extraordinary ways to resist during one of history's darkest periods.
