W Słońcu i W deszczu is a Polish series set in a rural village during the early 1980s, following the Małolepsza family as they navigate life on their small farm in Gudzewo. While their older children have moved to the city—one son becoming a lawyer—twenty-year-old Bolek remains behind with his parents, caught between tradition and restlessness. A rough-edged young man drawn to drinking and fighting, Bolek drifts through village life with peers as coarse as himself, increasingly isolated as most local girls have also left for urban opportunities. The series captures the tension of rural Poland during this era, exploring how economic shifts and generational ambitions reshape family bonds and community ties in the countryside.
