Ritter's Cove(1980)

Ritter's Cove is a Canadian adventure series that aired on CBC Television from 1980 to 1981. The show follows Karl Ritter, a coastal pilot played by German actor Hans Caninenberg, whose son's airplane vanishes without a trace. Left to manage his airline business alone, Karl must also raise his two grandchildren while grappling with the mystery of his son's disappearance. A co-production between Canadian, West German, and British companies, the series ran for 26 weeks and blends family drama with the challenges of running a coastal aviation operation during turbulent times.
