Aaagh! It's the Mr. Hell Show is an animated comedy series that sprang from Hugh MacLeod's irreverent greeting card line about a brutally honest demon. Created by David Max Freedman and Alan Gilbey, the show aired for one season of thirteen episodes in 2001–2002 as a British-Canadian co-production. Bob Monkhouse voiced Mr. Hell, a Satan-like sketch host, in what became his final television role. The series strings together absurdist sketches anchored by Mr. Hell's caustic commentary, featuring recurring characters like Josh, who repeatedly attempts philosophical discussions before meeting violent ends, and Serge, a vengeful seal bent on destroying the fashion industry that killed his parents. Mr. Hell's own sketches often explore his chaotic family life, particularly his relationship with his illegitimate son Damien, born of a forbidden union between Mr. Hell and an angel named Angela.
