An American in Canada(2003)

An American in Canada is a comedy series following Jake Crewe, a brash American television news host who lands in Calgary, Alberta after a workplace altercation costs him his career. Forced to take a job hosting the city's lowest-rated morning news program, Crewe must navigate a new country, a struggling broadcast, and the culture clash that comes with reinvention. The fish-out-of-water premise plays on Crewe's American swagger meeting Canadian sensibilities, as he attempts to salvage both his reputation and a doomed show. With his back against the wall, Crewe discovers that success north of the border requires more than just ego and charm.
