Terra ribelle(2010)

Terra ribelle is an Italian historical drama series that aired on Rai 1 in 2010 and 2012. Set in nineteenth-century Tuscany's Maremma region, the story follows childhood friends Andrea and Iacopo as they navigate their complicated relationships with two impoverished noble sisters, Elena and Luisa, against a backdrop of local intrigue and everyday life. The first season, which premiered in October 2010, consists of fifteen 100-minute episodes. The second season, which returned in 2012, shifts to the early 1900s and explores Andrea and Elena's love story alongside the wave of Italian emigration to South America. Produced by Rai Fiction and Albatross Entertainment, the series reunites director Cinzia TH Torrini and screenwriter Peter Exacoustos, the creative team behind the acclaimed Elisa di Rivombrosa.
