American audiences encountered the story in a heavily edited feature-length adaptation titled Ninja, The Wonder Boy, produced by Jim Terry Productions. That English dub reimagined several key elements: the protagonist became "Duke Hayakawa," his companion Sakura transformed into "Blossom," and the primary antagonist Devilman was renamed "Dragon."
