The Gutsy Frog(1972)

The Gutsy Frog is an anime series following Hiroshi, a lazy schoolboy who accidentally flattens Pyonkichi, a mischievous frog, during a scuffle with bullies in Tokyo's Shakujii Park. The frog's spirit becomes imprinted on Hiroshi's t-shirt, the only garment he bothers to keep clean. Now bound together, the two form an unlikely friendship as Pyonkichi takes control of the shirt, moving it at will regardless of Hiroshi's protests. What begins as an accident becomes a daily adventure as the gutsy frog drags his reluctant human companion into trouble. The series blends comedy with heartfelt moments as these two opposites learn to rely on each other, turning Hiroshi's laziness and Pyonkichi's boldness into an unexpectedly perfect match.
