My Dad's the Prime Minister is a British sitcom that follows the chaotic household of a sitting Prime Minister, his family, and his overworked spin doctor. Written by Ian Hislop and Nick Newman, the series balances political satire with domestic comedy as the nation's leader juggles state affairs with everyday parenting. The first series aired on BBC1's CBBC strand in 2003, focusing largely on the Prime Minister's son Dillon and his misadventures. The second series, broadcast in 2004 on BBC1 in a later evening slot, shifted focus to explore the Prime Minister's own struggles with office and family life. Starring Robert Bathurst, Joe Prospero, Carla Mendonça, Brian Bovell and Emma Sackville, the show was filmed in Watford and featured local school students as extras. Only the first series received a home video release.
