Saul of the Mole Men(2007)

Saul of the Mole Men is a live-action comedy series created by Craig Lewis that premiered on Adult Swim in February 2007. Set in the center of the Earth, the show channels 1970s Saturday morning adventure television with an ultra-patriotic twist, drawing inspiration from Sid and Marty Krofft's work, Doctor Who, and Planet of the Apes. Josh Gardner stars as the titular character, reuniting with director Tom Stern following their collaboration on Gerhard Reinke's Wanderlust. Trey Parker, creator of South Park, performs the theme song. The series blends campy sci-fi spectacle with absurdist humor, capturing the spirit of classic creature-feature television while subverting its conventions. Adult Swim later celebrated the show with a Halloween marathon in 2008.
