Taxa(1997)

Taxa is a Danish drama series that follows the daily operations of CrownTaxi, a small Copenhagen taxi company navigating fierce competition and personal turmoil. Across 56 episodes spanning 1997–1999, the show tracks taxi drivers, radio operator Lizzie, and boss Verner Boye-Larsen as they juggle demanding clients, complicated family lives, and constant threats from Hermann, the ruthless owner of rival firm City Car. The series balances workplace drama with character-driven storytelling, capturing both the humor and hardship of life in the taxi business. Created by Stig Thorsboe and produced by Rumble Hammerich for Danmarks Radio, Taxa became an immediate hit when it premiered on DR1 and was later broadcast across Scandinavia on Swedish television SVT1.
