George of the Jungle is an animated series created by Jay Ward and Bill Scott, the duo behind The Rocky and Bullwinkle Show. Inspired by the Tarzan legend, the show follows a comedic take on the jungle hero archetype. It aired Saturday mornings on ABC from September to December 1967, spanning 17 half-hour episodes. Each installment bundled three separate mini-shows: George of the Jungle, Tom Slick, and Super Chicken, all voiced by the same cast.
