Asian Treasures is a Philippine action-adventure drama that follows characters across Asian history and geography. Starring Angel Locsin and Robin Padilla, the series was directed by Eric Quizon and aired on GMA Network beginning January 15, 2007. It made history as the first Filipino drama shot on location in multiple countries, including Mongolia, Thailand, and China. The pilot episode drew a commanding 41.8% rating, establishing the show as a major television event. At the time of its production, Asian Treasures was the most expensive TV series ever made in Philippine television, with a budget exceeding 140 million pesos—roughly 3.1 million dollars—setting a benchmark for local production values before being surpassed by later series.
