Hikari Sentai Maskman is a Japanese tokusatsu series following Commander Sugata's discovery of the Royal Underground Empire Tube, a sinister force plotting to conquer the surface world from beneath Japan. Recognizing the threat, Sugata recruits five martial artists and trains them in the mystical Aura Power—an ancient energy source that grants them extraordinary abilities. After a year of rigorous preparation, the newly formed Maskmen team must stand ready as Tube launches its long-planned invasion. Blending martial arts action with superhero spectacle, the series explores themes of teamwork and inner strength as the five heroes defend their world against an underground empire bent on domination.
