Mahabharat is a 2013 Indian drama series that adapts the legendary epic for television. Produced by Swastik Pictures for Star Plus, the show follows the great war between the Pandavas and Kauravas, exploring themes of duty, dharma, and destiny across its sprawling narrative. Saurabh Raj Jain stars as Lord Krishna, with Shaheer Sheikh as Arjuna, Pooja Sharma as Draupadi, and Aham Sharma as Karna. The production brought together acclaimed creative talent including costume designer Bhanu Athaiya, music directors Ajay-Atul and Ismail Darbar, and action director Ram Shetty. The series premiered on September 16, 2013, and became a landmark television adaptation of India's most celebrated mythological text.
