The Great Fire(2014)

The Great Fire is a historical drama set in 1666 London, following Thomas Farriner, a baker on Pudding Lane whose life becomes entangled with the events that spark the city's catastrophic fire. As King Charles II indulges in excess at court, Farriner navigates family tensions at his bakery and a complicated attraction to his sister-in-law Sarah. The series weaves together intimate domestic conflict with the grandeur and decay of Restoration England, building toward the disaster that will consume the capital. Against a backdrop of royal decadence and social upheaval, personal ambitions and desires collide with historical inevitability.
