Coverband(2014)

Coverband follows Matt Gibson, a twenty-something musician who moves to Los Angeles with his brother Alex and girlfriend Ivy, chasing dreams of stardom. When Ivy's career takes off and Matt's doesn't, he returns to New Zealand defeated. There, Matt and Alex regroup with a friend to form The Silhouettes, a covers band playing local gigs. The series explores what happens when ambition collides with reality, tracking Matt's journey from failed LA dreams to finding his place in a tribute act back home. It's a character-driven story about resilience, brotherhood, and learning to make music on your own terms.
