Shinigami-kun(2014)

Shinigami-kun follows grim reaper #413, a rookie tasked with announcing deaths and ferrying souls to the afterlife. Armed with his signature greeting—"Congratulations! I'm here to call on you"—he observes the dying and attempts to dissuade those considering suicide. As a novice reaper, #413 struggles with impartiality, often sympathizing with humans and bending the rules of the nether world, which lands him in frequent trouble with his superiors. The series balances dark comedy with genuine emotion as the well-meaning reaper navigates the complexities of his job, discovering that death isn't always straightforward and humanity deserves compassion even in its final moments.
