Love That Makes You Cry is a Japanese drama series following six young people who leave their hometowns for Tokyo in pursuit of new beginnings. Sugihara Oto, raised by adoptive parents in Hokkaido after her mother's death, faces an unwanted arranged marriage to solve her family's debts. Soda Ren, from Fukushima, works tirelessly to earn enough money to reclaim his grandfather's farmland.
