Welcome to New York(2000)

Welcome to New York is a CBS sitcom that follows Jim Gaffigan as a weatherman from Fort Wayne, Indiana who relocates to New York to work as a meteorologist for the fictional morning news show "AM New York." Christine Baranski plays Marsha Bickner, the high-strung producer who hires him but constantly forgets details about his life, including where he came from. The clash between the earnest newcomer and the frazzled, larger-than-life producer drives the show's humor as they navigate the chaotic world of live television. Welcome to New York premiered on October 11, 2000, but struggled to find an audience. CBS canceled the series after just three months, ending its run on January 17, 2001.
