Scrabble is an American television game show that adapted the classic word-building board game for broadcast. Hosted by Chuck Woolery, the series premiered on NBC in July 1984 and ran until March 1990, then returned for a brief revival from January to June 1993. Across both runs, the show produced 1,335 episodes, with contestants competing to form high-scoring words on the iconic game board. Jay Stewart announced the first year before Charlie Tuna took over as announcer in summer 1985, continuing through the original series and the 1993 revival. Scrabble was co-produced by Exposure Unlimited and Reg Grundy Productions.
