Ekaterina is a historical drama series set in 1745 Russia, following the political machinations of Empress Elizabeth Petrovna. Among the candidates arriving in St. Petersburg is the ambitious young Prussian noblewoman Sofia Frederica, who will later become Catherine the Great.
