Ban Shu Legend(2015)

Ban Shu Legend is a Chinese historical drama that follows the niece of the first female prime minister Ban Zhao. Ambitious and talented, Ban Shu rises through the ranks to become a teacher at the Royal Female Academy, established by Empress Deng Wei. Her position offers influence and prestige, but court conspiracies soon threaten her standing. Faced with mounting political intrigue, Ban Shu makes the difficult choice to leave the palace and dedicate herself to spreading Han culture beyond the capital's walls. Produced by Yu Zheng and written by screenwriter Zhang Wei, the series explores themes of ambition, loyalty, and the cost of integrity in a world of shifting alliances.
