Man in Charge(2009)

Man in Charge is a historical drama set in mid-18th century Qing Dynasty China. It follows Chau Bing, a stubborn official adviser, and Shum Kwan-Pok, a young county official, who form an unlikely friendship after Bing secures a position as Kwan-Pok's private adviser. Together, the two men work to expose and eliminate corruption within the Manchu government, navigating the treacherous politics of their era. The series explores their bond as they face institutional resistance and personal challenges in their quest for reform, balancing loyalty to each other against the pressures of a corrupt system.
