Hyouge Mono is an anime series following Sasuke Furuta, a vassal of warlord Nobunaga Oda during Japan's tumultuous Sengoku period. Obsessed with tea ceremony and the pursuit of rare, beautiful objects, Sasuke navigates a precarious balance between his duties as a warrior and his passion for aesthetic refinement. Under the mentorship of the legendary tea master Soueki Senne and Nobunaga himself, he develops his own philosophy of the way of Hyouge Mono—finding fortune and meaning through the appreciation of material beauty and ceremonial tradition. The series explores how art, ambition, and power intersect in a world of constant conflict, as Sasuke's unconventional values challenge the expectations of those around him.
