Scavengers' Paradise(2005)

Scavengers' Paradise is a Hong Kong series following Tang Wai Cheung, a mainland youth who arrives in the city searching for his future father-in-law using only an old address. When he can't find him, Cheung moves in with his uncle Tang King Chan, who secretly drowns in debt despite boasting wealth to relatives. To help pay off the debt, Cheung takes whatever work he can find and gradually discovers the harsh realities of survival. Living in the cramped flat, Cheung grows close to his flatmate Cheng Pik Wan as they encourage each other through their struggles. Complications arise when Ling Fung, a wealthy businessman's daughter fleeing an arranged marriage, unexpectedly moves into their home. While Cheung clashes constantly with the demanding Fung, his uncle finds himself drawn to her. As tensions simmer and feelings develop, the three navigate love, ambition, and the gap between rich and poor.
