Crashing Into the Future is a Brazilian series that follows the Sabino Machado family and their entourage, frozen in the ocean after a shipwreck in 1886. They awaken gradually in the present day, each member struggling to comprehend modern technology and contemporary society. As "the frozen ones" navigate culture shock and temporal displacement, they form unexpected friendships and romances while confronting prejudices that centuries have failed to eliminate. The show balances comedy and drama as these nineteenth-century survivors grapple with the absurdities of modern life, discovering that human nature—both generous and greedy—remains remarkably unchanged.
