Big Forest(2018)

Big Forest is a Korean drama following three struggling characters in Seoul's Daerim neighborhood. Shin Dong-Yub, a faded former celebrity, crosses paths with Jung Sang-Hoon, a single father working as a loan shark, and Im Cheong-A, a Korean-Chinese single mother. Each carries the weight of their circumstances—lost fame, financial desperation, and the burden of raising children alone. As their lives intersect in this working-class district, the series explores how ordinary people survive on the margins, balancing survival with dignity. The narrative weaves together their separate struggles into a portrait of resilience and human connection amid economic hardship.
