Retake(2016)

Retake is a Japanese series following Shinji Aratani, a man who has lost his career, family, and friends to circumstance. Now Chief of the Registry Supervision Division at Japan's Ministry of Justice, he oversees a department dismissed by colleagues as pointless. In reality, his division carries out a classified mission: monitoring and isolating time travelers in a designated residential area. As time travel technology emerges in the near future, travelers begin arriving from tomorrow with their own agendas. Aratani and his team must prevent them from altering the present while keeping their existence secret from the public. The series blends bureaucratic drama with science fiction as Aratani navigates impossible choices and redemption through an unexpected second chance at purpose.
