Under Nineteen(2018)

Under Nineteen is a South Korean competition series that follows 57 aspiring musicians competing for spots in a new K-pop boy band. Contestants are evaluated on vocals, rap, and dance performance—the core pillars of idol training. The series features industry veterans as mentors: EXID's Solji and Crush guide vocal technique, Dynamic Duo oversee rap skills, and Super Junior's Eunhyuk alongside SM's choreography director Hwang Sang Hoon lead performance training. Actress Park So Hyun hosts and supports the group throughout their journey. As trainees push themselves through rigorous preparation, they battle for one of just 19 final debut spots. The series gives viewers a behind-the-scenes look at the grueling process of K-pop idol development, from training camps to elimination rounds, while allowing audiences to influence which contestants ultimately make the cut.
