Gone to Seed is a British comedy-drama series that spins off from Tony Grounds' earlier work Gone to the Dogs. The six-episode run follows the Plant family, who have operated a garden centre in Rotherhithe for generations, weathering war and urban change. Now matriarch Mag refuses to cede control to her triplet children, igniting a family power struggle that threatens the business. Hilda lives for Millwall FC, Monty dreams of transforming the nursery into a Docklands floral paradise, and Winston, a one-eyed jobless builder and part-time wrestler, knows little about horticulture. Meanwhile, local conman Wesley Willis circles, aware of the real-estate value beneath their unlikely paradise. Much of the original cast returns in new roles, bringing fresh energy to this tale of inheritance, ambition, and the cost of holding on.
