Junjo Kirari is the 74th NHK Asadora drama, set in Okazaki City during Japan's pre-war and wartime years. The series opens in 1928 with seven-year-old Sakurako, a spirited and confident girl with an unlikely dream: to become a jazz pianist. Music drives the narrative as Sakurako pursues her passion against the backdrop of a nation transforming through the Second World War era. Her determination and enthusiasm propel her forward, even as historical forces reshape the world around her.
