Matchless Raijin-Oh(1991)

Matchless Raijin-Oh is a Japanese animated series following Eldran, a warrior of light, and his giant robot Raijin-Oh as they crash-land into a fifth-grade classroom after battling the Jaku Empire from a fifth-dimensional realm. Severely wounded, Eldran entrusts Earth's defense to an unlikely group of schoolchildren, who form the "Earth Defense Class." The students must learn to pilot Raijin-Oh and master their newfound powers to protect the planet from interdimensional threats.
