The Last Healer in Forbidden City(2016)

The Last Healer in Forbidden City is a historical drama set during the late Qing dynasty. Skilled physician To Chung earns his place as Imperial Palace Physician after curing Empress Dowager Chee Hei, then grows close to the powerless Gwong-seoi Emperor, who is confined to the Forbidden City following military defeat and political disgrace. To Chung's medical talents extend to healing the young emperor and mending his relationship with Consort Tsan, yet he remains helpless against his own wife's crippling condition. Desperate for a cure, he seeks out bone-setter Fuk Ling, whose treatments ease his wife's suffering. Impressed, To Chung brings Fuk Ling into the palace as the Empress Dowager's personal healer. A romantic tension builds between them, but To Chung's loyalty to his wife keeps him from acting on it. Fuk Ling, however, harbors a dangerous secret: she has been sent to assassinate the emperor.
