Believe not Believe(2015)

Believe Not Believe is a Russian drama series following Vasilisa Kremneva, a newly promoted Lieutenant Colonel at the Investigative Committee's press center. Frustrated by her role as the public face of law enforcement, Vasilisa yearns for real investigative work instead of delivering official statements to the media. Her superiors, led by a commanding officer played by Emmanuel Vitorgan, refuse to reassign her, valuing her prominence too much. When a significant case lands on her desk, Vasilisa finally gets the opportunity to pursue the meaningful career she's always wanted. The series explores her struggle between institutional expectations and personal ambition, as she navigates the tension between her polished public image and her desire for genuine detective work in Russia's law enforcement system.
