California's Gold(1991)

California's Gold is a public television series that celebrates the natural, cultural, and historical treasures of California. Hosted and produced by Huell Howser in partnership with KCET Los Angeles, the program ran for 24 seasons from 1991 until Howser's retirement in 2012. Each episode explores a different corner of the state, uncovering hidden gems and local stories that define California's character. The series features various renditions of "California, Here I Come" as its theme, performed by local musicians Eddie Enderle and Richard Chon. Though production ended shortly before Howser's death in January 2013, episodes remain available on KCET and continue to introduce viewers to the state's diverse attractions and rich heritage.
