Clubhouse(2004)

Clubhouse follows Pete Young, a high school student who lands his dream job as batboy for the New York Empires baseball team without telling his single mother. At his strict Catholic school, Pete juggles his new position with life at home, where his rebellious sister Betsy has always been the family troublemaker. In the clubhouse, Pete finds an unexpected family: Conrad Dean, the team's star third baseman and his childhood idol, becomes a mentor figure; Lou Russo, the gruff equipment manager, serves as a father figure; and teammates like rookie Carlos Tavares embrace Pete as their good luck charm. With his best friend Mike eager to exploit Pete's new connections, Pete must navigate the moral complexities of his dual worlds—balancing the glamour of professional baseball against his responsibilities at home and school.
