Roll Out(1973)

Roll Out is an American sitcom that aired on CBS during the 1973–1974 season. Set in France during World War II, the series stars nightclub comedian Stu Gilliam and Hilly Hicks, with Ed Begley Jr. and Garrett Morris in supporting roles. The show draws loose inspiration from the 1952 film Red Ball Express. Jimmy Lydon, a familiar face from 1940s cinema, plays Army Captain Henry Aldrich—reprising the character name he made famous in Paramount's comedy features decades earlier. Roll Out blends wartime adventure with comedy, following its ensemble cast through the chaos of occupied France.
