Assembly follows Jin Sang Pil, a former shipyard welder who unexpectedly wins election to the national assembly. Simple, brave, and principled, he struggles to navigate the complexities of political life despite his good intentions. With steady support from his aide Choi In Kyung, Jin Sang Pil gradually learns to become an effective and respected legislator. The series chronicles his unlikely journey from blue-collar worker to honorable politician, balancing his working-class values against the demands of high office.
