Barbara(1999)

Barbara is a British sitcom starring Gwen Taylor as the title character. After a pilot in 1995, three series ran from 1999 to 2003 on ITV. Central Television produced the show at their Lenton Lane studios in Nottingham, recording in front of a live audience. The majority of location filming took place across Nottinghamshire suburbs including Mapperley and West Bridgford, with additional scenes shot around the wider region. Despite critical acclaim and solid viewership, Barbara was cancelled in 2003, ending its run prematurely.
