Duel(2007)

Duel is an American game show hosted by Mike Greenberg that aired on ABC in 2007 and 2008. The first season ran as a week-long tournament in December 2007, with contestants competing head-to-head in trivia matches where wrong answers fed a growing jackpot. The format blended elements of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? with poker-style competition. Ashlee Register won the inaugural Duel jackpot of $1.72 million, becoming the highest-earning female game show contestant in U.S. history at that time. A second season followed in 2008 with modified rules and a weekly schedule, running from April through July. The show offered high-stakes trivia competition with substantial prize pools that attracted serious game show competitors.
