Ningning(2015)

Ningning is a Filipino series that follows a young girl growing up on the remote island of Isla Baybay with her fisherman father Dondon, mother Lovely, and grandmother Mamay. Despite their poverty, the family finds richness in their bond and simple life together. When a devastating typhoon destroys Dondon's boat and livelihood, they're forced to abandon their island home and seek opportunity in the city. Navigating urban hardship tests their resilience, but Ningning and her family discover that hope, perseverance, and love can overcome any obstacle. Told through Ningning's innocent perspective, the series celebrates family bonds, second chances, forgiveness, and the transformative power of love amid life's struggles.
