Sumika Sumire is a Japanese series about Kisaragi Sumi, a 20-year-old university student with the soul of a 65-year-old. Bound by family obligations since childhood, she sacrificed her youth caring for relatives and never experienced romance. After her mother's death, Sumi yearns for a second chance at life. One morning, she wakes to find herself transformed into a genuine 20-year-old and adopts the name Sumire. Now she navigates the world with a mature perspective in a young body, attempting to reclaim the experiences and freedom she lost. The series blends comedy with poignant reflection on identity, regret, and the possibility of reinvention at any age.
