Suzuran(1999)

Suzuran is a Japanese series set in 1924, when steam trains and early Showa Era stations are transforming the countryside. At the remote Asumoe Station, a passenger discovers an abandoned baby in the waiting room and alerts station master Tokiwa Jiro. Word spreads quickly through the small town, and locals begin to believe the infant is a divine gift—the reincarnation of Tokiwa's recently deceased wife.
