Italian for Beginners is a Danish romantic comedy following a group of isolated suburbanites who enroll in a beginner's Italian class hoping to find connection and love. Shot in the stripped-down style of the Dogme 95 movement, the film captures authentic human moments with minimal artifice, letting character and emotion drive the narrative.
