Martijn en de magiër(1979)

Martijn and the Magician follows a neglected boy whose parents run a village bazaar and leave him to fend for himself. Imaginative but struggling academically, Martijn faces mounting pressure to pass his exams or face an uncertain future. His only real confidant is his grandfather, a patient listener in a retirement home who values the boy's stories. When a film crew arrives to shoot a fairy tale movie in their small town, Martijn lands the lead role—and his grandfather is cast as the wizard. The film explores how this unexpected opportunity brings them closer together and gives Martijn the attention and validation he desperately needs.
