Liliom is a fantasy drama about a carousel barker who falls for a young woman and loses his job. When she becomes pregnant, he attempts a robbery to support them, but the crime turns fatal. After death and time in hell, he returns to earth for a single day to seek redemption and make peace with those he's wronged.
